Wu Tao, pronounced 'woo dow', means 'The Dancing Way'.
Wu Tao combines dance, yoga, meditation and Traditional Chinese Medicine. We learn five dances, based on the Five Elements of Air, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. Performed to beautiful, inspiring music, each dance stretches and activates different energy channels (meridians) in the body. Practising the dances harmonises energy flow in the body and the end result is an experience of beauty, balance and harmony - physically, mentally and emotionally. The dances are easy to do and fun to learn and the flowing movements gently increase body tone and flexibility.
Movement is a proven healing force and Wu Tao is a fun way to exercise your body and take care of your soul. It doesn’t matter what age you are. It doesn’t matter if you have never danced before. Wu Tao can help to restore you to your natural state of inner balance and equilibrium.
Classes
Each class includes a warm-up based on stretches derived from Chinese medicine and yoga, an element-based theme, Wu Tao dance and a relaxing guided meditation.
